Key facts
- Dates: Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 October 2026.
- Venue: King Fahd Palace, Pointe des Almadies, Dakar.
- Edition: the sixth.
- Theme: sustainable land-use planning and development, and the resilience of cities and rural areas.
- Organisers: AME Trade Senegal, with the Ministry of Urban Planning, Local Authorities and Regional Development.
The timing matters: the national housing programme targets 500,000 homes by 2035, and every link in the chain, from land to financing, is looking for partners.
Getting there
From Blaise Diagne airport, Almadies is reached by the toll motorway: allow 45 minutes to over an hour depending on the time of day. The TER train serves central Dakar, not Almadies. For an exhibitor carrying documents or samples, a car with driver booked in advance with your flight number remains the safest option.
- Entry: no visa required for EU and UK nationals for stays under three months; other travellers should check with the Senegalese embassy.
- Currency: the CFA franc, pegged to the euro (€1 = 655.957 FCFA).
- Time: GMT all year round.
- Weather: end of the rainy season, warm and humid. Light clothing, and a jacket for air-conditioned rooms.
Where to stay
The King Fahd Palace hosts the fair, so its rooms go first. Around it, Almadies and Ngor have several business hotels a few minutes away. From the Plateau or the Corniche Ouest, allow 20 to 45 minutes depending on traffic: a good choice if your other meetings are downtown.
Meeting clients alongside the fair
Three days go quickly, and the meetings that matter often happen away from the aisles: a business breakfast, a room booked for half a day, dinner with a partner. A nearby meeting room is booked before the fair opens, not during it. For dinner, our selection of Dakar’s business restaurants has reliable addresses.
Exhibitors: the logistics to settle
- Bilingual hosts and interpreters.
- Equipment transport and storage, on-site printing.
- Catering for a drinks reception on the stand.
- A shuttle between hotel and fair for a team.
A single request on Teral Travel passes them on to the suppliers in our network. For a stand or registration, contact the organiser through the fair’s official website.
After the fair
The fair ends on a Saturday. Sunday is a chance to breathe before the flight home: Gorée Island, about twenty minutes by ferry, or the Petite Côte, roughly an hour and a half by road.
